ABOUT
ME
I was born and raised in the Detroit area and attended Oakland University for my bachelor's degree in Psychology. I started as a research assistant in 1999 and have continued in the research field since that time.

After graduating from Central Michigan University with my master's degree in Clinical Psychology, I began as a research specialist at Hospice of Michigan. From there I expanded to research in palliative care and emergency medicine at Wayne State University.

As a grant writer at Wayne State University I enjoyed the process of building a persuasive appeal for project funding. Using background research and other data, I learned to match the needs of projects and programs with the specifications of each grant opportunity.

I am grateful for the opportunity to do freelance writing at this time. I especially enjoy creating collaborations between organizations, finding ways each can benefit from the other and while creating amazing projects.

I love comedy, art, animals, and sunsets.
